Activate yourself in Novo Mesto and Črnomelj

During the period from September 2019 to September 2022, the Ministry of Labour, family, social affairs and equal opportunities and the European Social Fund are co-financing a project implementing social activation that will contribute to strengthening social and work competencies. Social activation programmes for Roma women in the South-East region are implemented by the leading partner RIC Novo mesto and our partner  ZIK Črnomelj.

The social activation programmes of Roma women aim to strengthen their social inclusion in the wider social environment, increase motivation and strengthen existing ones, and acquire new social and functional competencies to address the specific life and social situations that put them in a dependent position and limit their opportunities of integration into the wider social environment. Many members of the target group live in Slovenia with limited contacts with the wider (local) community or have very little opportunity to reach out and establish relationships with members of the wider community, which prevents them from integrating into the environment. Consequently, that affects their position in society, the family and, indirectly, their children's situation, leading to the intergenerational transfer of patterns of social exclusion.

In the period from September 2019 to September 2022, the Ministry of Labour, family social affairs and equal opportunities and the European Social Fund is co-financing a project implementing social activation programmes that will contribute to strengthening social and work competencies. Social activation programmes for Roma women in the South-East region are implemented by the leading partner RIC Novo mesto and their partner ZIK Črnomelj.
